“Argh, I just can’t believe how frustrating you are!” You bellow out as the tall, dark-haired volleyball captain tilted his head in amusement. You paced back and forth in the hallway that was normally bustling with students but was now empty. Thoughts of his endless attempts into wooing you the past few months since his abrupt confession flew discordantly through your mind. You clenched your fists until your fingernails dug into your skin and anger filled you as you pondered over the incident that happened moments ago in which you caught him in the act of flirting with your fellow female classmate in front of you despite his claims of wanting to commit into a full blow relationship. Frustration reaching it’s peak, you shouted in discontent. “Psh, and to think I’m actually in love with you!”

“Mind running that last part by me again?”

Gulping, you almost forgot how to breathe. “Which part?”

“The last part.” You heard Kuroo say, his voice strong and clear.

“You’re… Frustrating?” You offered, looking away.

“You really think that’s the part I’m talking about?”

“Uh, no?”

“Try again.”

“I don’t wanna.”

“Look at me, please.” He asked and you did.

“You think you’re in love with me?” He questioned with a voice deep and thick, like molasses, honey, and all thing afghan-blanket, not country.

“Yes.” You breathed, not able to take your gaze away from him.

Kuroo moved his hand to your cheek, his thumb softly pressing against it. “You think, or you know?

Biting your lip, you admitted your defeat. “I know.” 

His eyes danced as he drew near and his lips pulled into a devilish smirk. “Well now, that changes everything, doesn't it?”
